Granny is the best!

It's getting warmer and warmer, so this might be my last change to wear this woolly hat and collar my granny made for me. I don't know where she found this wool but its perfect!

It has just the right combination of pink and light blue so that the main color is still blue. There is also thin golden string going through the wool, but it's a bit hard to see in the picture. 

These  remind me of Frozen, I Think this is something Elsa would wear if the cold could bother her anyway :)

I also got inspired with the make-up, I used matching colors with my eye make-up, golden white, blue and pink dusts from Make-up Store. Eyeliner is brown because I did not want the eye make-up to look too dark.

I love that lipstick I used from Joe Blasco, but for this look, it maybe was a bit too much. I hope I had used only a light gloss, because this make-up was really about the eyes. But it's still one one of my favorite lipstick colors.

I think for now it's time to pack my lovely collar and hat to wait for autumn. It's ok, because I got a package from Black Milk, containing my new summer dresses! Of course, in Disney style. But I promise, when the first snow falls I will wear these and go in the park near by running up the stairs and sing Let it go! Thank you granny <3

Willy Fog and Princess Romy costumes!

We finally had our housewarming party, and if I could choose, every party should be a costume party!

I said in my last post, that I was going to dress up as a princess, so you might be surprised about my costume, knowing about my affection to Disney princesses. I'm a bit surprised myself! Disney themed party was of course what came first into my mind, but then we started thinking about this series "Around the world with Willy Fog" and I really got inspired about the costumes! That series is great and I have always loved Princess Romy's and Willy Fog's looks. There's also this catchy tune "Eighty days around the world..." :D

The party went really well and happily our guests were dressed up too. We had people from many countries, couple of Ticos and Passepartouts and maybe my favorite, Transfer disguised as a Willy Fog!

I'm happy that we decided to have Willy Fog theme, because I had a chance to dress up as a princess and we can save Disney for our next party!

My Snow White

Hi! Last weekend we were celebrating the first of May, one of the few days of the year when you can go outside dressed as a princess and no one thinks you have lost your mind. But to be honest, that won't stop me any other day.

Blond Snow White? Well, why not. My Prince was dressed as himself but looks like a 60's character to me..:)

 

I love costumes, and usually I'm really accurate with the details when designing a look based on a character. But now, as you can see, Snow White didn't have that ebony hair. For my defence, I can only say that I had been so busy with my work and planning a costume for our housewarming party, (It's going to be this Saturday! I won't tell my costume yet but it won't be hard to guess that it is a princess.) that I hadn't had time to plan anything for this weekend. So for a last minute, I remembered that I had this Snow White costume I made for Hair and Beauty make-up competition last year.

We didn't stay out for long on a first of May, but it's always fun to dress up. I don't have anymore pictures of the dress on me, but here is some pictures from the competition. And the dress look better on it's true bearer. :)

This is the look of Snow White, when she is queen. So it's updated version of the Princess look.

 

 

The bow and collar are designed by my friend Laura from Laura-Elina Millinery. She's truly talented!

 And so we won! It was really teamwork :)

Now I really need to finish my costume for next weekend... I'm already exited! It's going to be a busy week and Saturday is going to be really soon!
