I know how Lily James felt...

Well, I can imagine how Lily James felt in that beautiful huge dress in Cinderella movie. This one is not that big, though it was bigger than it looks in a picture. Also, this one doesn't have a corset, so it might be a bit more comfortable...

Sadly this dress is not my own, it's from the Evita musical that is now playing in the theatre where I work as a make-up artist. But our dresser knew about my addiction to dresses, and she promised that I could try this one on. These pictures are taken just before the show started, so we had to be quick before the actress came for her dress!

And of course, golden shoes to match the dress. These were just my size!

I thought that it was gonna be just another day at work, after quite a long week as you can see from my eyebags. But suddenly you can have a princess moment, all it needs, is someone to show a bit of kindness. I'm so grateful for this experience I will treasure. <3

Have courage and be kind,

How to be a princess?

I know that a lot of girls have dreamed of being a princess. I remember as a child, I was even a little sad that I could not be one. They were so pretty and nice, and had pets and married a prince... And that Ariel's hair floating so perfectly... every girls dream!  But what it really means to be a princess?

When I now, as an adult, dream that I coul'd be a princess, I don't mean  that I want to find a rich man with power and to live in a mansion without working. I don't believe that was what Disney princesses wanted, that might be what nowadays being "princessy" means; fake looking rich daddy's girl. I'm not saying that those girls maybe couldn't be princesses, but i'ts not about your looks or status.

Maybe i still dream about the same things as a child, but in a little different way. I dream that I could be a good person, I'd have the strenght to be kind  and to believe in my dreams and the courage of making them true.  And about that perfect closet. Perfect pair of shoes. And to have a dog some day. And that Rapunzel's hair!

How I see it, being a princess is about finding love. And now I don't mean finding your prince. If you have love, you can be kind to others and to yourself. You can be true to your heart and follow your dreams. Of course dresses and shoes and hair are fun, but still, not the most important part.

Being a princess sounds quite easy? Well, almost. The thing is, that we don't (sadly) live in a fantasy world but a real world where problems are a little different from evil witches, dragons and being sleepy for a hundred years (Or are they really?).  But I am trying to learn more about it every day, and I am inviting you to come with me to this adventure. After all, we must simply have courage and be kind, mustn't we?
