Nieborów Palace, a place to be a princess

I was so lucky, that a little while ago I had a change to travel to Poland to do the make-up for a film about Queen Christina of Sweden and philosopher Descartes. How amazing is that? I was so exited.

The best part about the trip (besides doing the make-up) was that the shooting happened in a actual palace, and we were also living in that palace for a whole week! It feels so weird to write that, because it's still hard to believe that it really happened. It was too perfect, and I'm so grateful. Dreams do come true, but that was something I couldn't even have dreamed!

The shooting in Poland lasted a week, but the process of making a film is long, so I will write about it to you later. Now I want to show you this amazing Nieborów Palace! Wow!

These swans <3 It was almost too much to walk in the grounds of palace and to see this swan couple.

In the palace I had this sensation of being in a Beasts castle. The palace is mainly built in 17th century, the same era in which Beauty and the Beast sets in. Like Clocksworth said, "If it's not baroque, don't fix it" :)

Maybe these were the cupids watching Belle and the Beast dancing.. :)

I loved this wall canvas! Could I have it in my living room somehow?

I don't even need to say, doesn't this remind you about the library that Beast gave to Belle?  The same colors, and that globe! You know, if you have seen the deleted scenes.. ;) There was a lot of books, but maybe not as much as in Belles library.

Now that some time has passed from the shooting, it's so nice to return to that beautiful palace through these pictures. I will always have the memories...
The palace now works as a museum, if you have a change to go Nieborów Poland I warmly recommend!

Have courage and be kind,
