How To Be A Princess

How To Be A Princess

A cold never bothered me anyway?

I made a new years resolution that I'm going to slow down my everyday life a bit more. I have been working on it before but still I think that the end of the last year was a bit too hectic. And, as you can notice, this is my first post this year so I haven't really kept my promise... I have been in a rush.
Or I was until I got a flu, a really bad one I must say, and for the last five days I have been just lying on my bed. That is a good reminder when things are starting to get too hectic; if you are sick there is just nothing you can do about it but rest. And now that I feel better, I promise again not to be in such a rush anymore :)

One of the reasons why the start of the year was so hectic, besides that we just had been in Disneyland which was wonderful and I was full of energy to do anything, was that I have been really exited about my new business. Ok, my jobs at the theater and at the hair dressing salon just weren't enough, right? So I decided; "I should start acting princess in a children's birthday parties!" I know. Not the wisest thing to do, but that idea just came so strong to me so I couldn't resist!

So this is me, about to leave on my first gig.. Little nervous but so exited! And yes, that is our bedrooms wallpaper :D

We don't really have princess performers here in Finland, and I thought we should. And I have had so many nice and encouraging messages about my idea and many people have contacted me about their children's parties. Last weekend was my first gig and I was so exited. It was so wonderful, I just loved to bring Snow White to life and answer to children's questions like "What did the apple taste like" or "What did you think when you woke up and saw the Prince?" and of course "Do you know Elsa?". Elsa is so hot right now. I really need to have her costume next! I have this Snow White costume because I made it couple years a go to a make up competition. I never would have guessed what I'm still going to do with that dress! :)

So I make a wish in to the well, that I can continue my princess business, there is still a lots of work to do :) I'm wishing, I'm wishing...

By the way, you are about to have some Disney's winter magic here in my blog soon when I write about our trip to Disneyland! It was magical!
