Disneyland Adventure, Part 1

After we got back from our adventure, I have been quite busy with everyday life; now we have really started to plan our new homes renovation, I have my customers at the salon, and at the theater we have premiere of the musical Desiree (So wonderful princess style dresses, decorations, make-up and hair!), so we have rehearsed that a lot. With all that I find myself, well, not really planning but thinking about our wedding. But I promise, this is not turning into a wedding blog, at least not yet.

These wedding boutiques were just next to our hotel. We went shopping there just for fun when we arrived, and I was watching all the lovely dresses thinking; "If I ever get married maybe I should buy the dress here." Little did I know..:)

Day by day our Disneyland holiday starts to feel like a distant dream that fills me with warm feeling when I think of it, but it's getting harder and harder to believe it was real. Now that I started to write about our holiday and went through the pictures we took, I got emotional. I'm enjoying our everyday life, there's so many nice things happening and I'm exited about new challenges at work, but still... After spending six lovely lovely wonderful full of love -happiest days of my life in Disneyland, reality did hit me quite hard. It was like we were living in a Disney film, it was our reality for a little while. Reality, where I think I belong in my heart.

At this point everything was still ahead, in the next morning we would go to Disneyland. And that creme brulee.. These are the kind of moments you can appreciate better afterwards. Oh that lucky me at the past!

I'm so happy that I have pictures of our time in Disneyland, so that I can proof to myself that it was real. And now that I have had a super doze of Disney, I know I can make it through reality again, and find that Disney magic in everyday life too, no matter what comes ahead :)

But now I will sink in to my memories;

Our First day in Disneyland

In the morning of our first day in Disneyland we were of course really exited, but also a bit lost with "Where's the metro station?" "Which metro we need to take to get to the train that goes to Disneyland?" "How long is it going to take?" so we ended up being late for an hour, just like the last time, and there was a huge mass of people at the gates before us.

I was really been waiting to see a princess, and we knew from last time, that the princess meeting appointments are really popular, so the tickets to Princess Pavilion go really fast. Luckily we knew where the place is from last time, so when we got through the gates, we immediately started to run. We knew the changes to get the appointment were very little, but we had to try. It was quite a hot day, and the distance between the gates and the Princess Pavilion is long, so at some point I said to my Prince that I couldn't run anymore, but he cheered me on and we run, and when we got to the queue i was really out of breath.
The queue was suspiciously short and didn't proceed, so things didn't look so good. Apparently they had already gave away the tickets, and few hopeful people had stayed in case the staff would still find some free appointments. So we stayed in the line for couple of minutes and one woman in the queue in front of us left. Right after that a staff member came with few tickets, and I couldn't believe my ears when he said that our ticket was the last one. I did scream!! Sorry to those behind us in the queue. I just felt so happy and lucky.

My expression says it all!

After all that running and panicking, we finally got the ticket and realized that now we really are in Disneyland. We decided to take a little time to read the maps and to plan what we were going to do next.

Had to put some powder after all that running..

So many things to do!

We knew that we are going to spend several days in Disneyland, so we had ended up buying annual passes at the gates. It was really cheaper that way, and with the pass we could enter the park two hours before the normal opening time and get some discounts at the shops and restaurants. So it was a good deal for us. Also it feels quite nice to be an annual pass holder, even thought we can't visit Disneyland so often :)
One thing that was left to do, was to go to passport info like the staff member told us when we bought the passes, so we could give some more information and to get the final passes. So that's what we did, even though it turned out to be a bit difficult because we filled our information with a machine, where every instructions were in french. Maybe it's that usually french people buy annual passes.. But there was really nice staff to help us, so we managed. We also needed to take pictures for our passes, luckily I had added powder before we came!

Lucky to be "Passeport Annuel" holder! :)

After we got the passes we just wondered around and took some pictures in front of the castle. I was a bit overwhelmed, that there were quite a few kids and parents who wanted to take pictures with me! One mom even asked me which princess I am, and I was like "I'm sorry I'm not a princess!" Of course I should have said that every girl is a princess and I'm princess Tuulikki. But I was just too overwhelmed that she thought I worked in Disneyland :D It was fun to take pictures and really admiring that someone thinks I'm a Disney princess, but a bit unexpected because I was not wearing any costume, just my regular style.

After taking pictures we started to be quite hungry, so we went to Plaza Gardens restaurant. It was buffet style, so it was quick to get the food, and it was really good. And so many options!

This is the face of a happy girl in Disneyland who is about to get some food.

Mm.. heavenly.

After we had finished our desserts, it was almost time for Frozen royal welcome parade, so we headed for main street to get good places.

So many people waiting for Anna and Elsa :)

The parade was great!  Anna and Elsa were also the first princesses (or princess and queen) that we saw in Disneyland this time. The music and those horses were so wonderful! <3 Last song that played was Let it go, and I just had to pretend I was doing some snow magic!

So many people :)

Next we decided, that it is time to test some rides. First we went to Big Thunder Mountain, that must be one of the best roller coasters. It's not so fast as some, but it is made so beautifully and the ride is really fun.

Near to the roller coaster was the Phantom Manor, which is also one of my favorites. It's not really a roller coaster, but a slow ride through all kinds of horrors. It's quite scary, I'm sure that as a child I would have been terrified! Luckily my Prince was there to protect me.

The boat tour was closed for some reason, so next we went shopping...

Then it was already time to go to our princess meeting! Good thing I bought this autograph book...

We saw Aurora and how lovely she was! Just like in the movie. She admired my dress and said that her dress turns blue sometimes too.

And how lovely autograph!

After the visit in the Princess Pavilion, we noticed that the Frozen parade was about to start again! So we saw Anna and Elsa for the second time :)

Then we were just hanging and waiting for the fireworks show to start.

How lovely Auroras castle looks after sunset.. :)

We got good places at the fireworks show, and it was just as wonderful as I remembered. There was also a new part in the show from Frozen that made it even more beautiful. After the show we stayed for a little while, we didn't want to leave just yet!

What a lovely sight this is, watching the gates of Disneyland at night when you know you will come back the next day.

We had such a lovely day, but then it was time to leave and go to the hotel to rest. And next morning we would come back with Annual passes two hours before the normal opening time! 7 am the usual morning line up...

Have Courage And Be Kind,

-Tuulikki
